OP-17 World's Strongest Warrior: Card Prices, Box and Set Guide

OP-17 世界最強の戦士 (Sekai Saikyou no Senshi, The World’s Strongest Warrior) is the One Piece Card Game’s fourth-anniversary booster: Japan on August 22, 2026, English on August 28 at $4.99 a pack. On October 3, 2026 the base Secret Rares were ¥2,980 (OP17-118 Rocks D. Xebec) and ¥2,480 (OP17-119 Loki) at the Japanese card shop yuyu-tei, the Four Emperors Super Parallels ¥79,800 to ¥148,000, and the cheapest sealed 24-pack box in Japan ¥9,900. Nothing in the box is guaranteed. The card prices come first, then the box.

OP-17 card list with prices: what are the chase cards worth?

The chase runs in three tiers. The two 4th-anniversary pirate-crew Super Parallels ask ¥498,000 and ¥1,280,000, the Super Parallels of the Four Emperors and the Luffy leader ¥79,800 to ¥148,000, and the base Secret Rares under ¥3,000. Every figure below was read off yuyu-tei (遊々亭) on October 3, 2026, tax included, with the September 5 ask alongside.

The 販売 (hanbai) ask is what the shop charges you; the 買取 (kaitori) buyback is what it pays a customer walking in, and a private sale usually clears between the two. Four weeks moved the top of the list hard: the pirate-crew Xebec ask fell ¥300,000 and the Shanks Super Parallel ¥100,000. The cheap end barely moved. The median item on the 177-item list is still ¥120, and 126 items are ¥500 or less.

The ceiling is concentrated. Buying one of every item on yuyu-tei’s OP-17 list would have cost ¥2,686,870 on October 3, and the two pirate-crew prints are ¥1,778,000 of that, about 66%. One shop’s list is also a quote, not a market: Suruga-ya (駿河屋), checked the same day, had the base OP17-118 at ¥2,280 in its own stock with marketplace copies from ¥1,950, and the parallel only on its marketplace, from ¥4,001.

How many packs are in an OP-17 booster box, and what does it cost?

24 packs of 6 cards, so 144 cards a box. At Bandai’s ¥240 pack price that is ¥5,760 of arithmetic. On October 3, 2026 the cheapest sealed box on 価格.com’s record was ¥9,900, and the middle of its 19 listings was ¥15,600.

Bandai prints no packs-per-box figure on the OP-17 product page in either language. The number lives on Japanese retail listings, which agree with each other.

The floor has dropped at every check, from ¥17,790 to ¥9,900 in under four weeks, and now sits at about 1.7 times arithmetic list. That ¥5,760 is not a Bandai number either: Bandai publishes no box MSRP, Suruga-ya’s record carries a 定価 of ¥5,782, and the Toei Animation official store charged exactly ¥5,760 on September 7 before withdrawing the listing. Read titles closely: on October 3 one ¥12,914 listing bundled two bonus packs and one ¥15,600 listing was a 外箱ダメージ品, a damaged outer box. Does an OP-17 booster box guarantee any hits?

No. Bandai publishes no guaranteed rarity, no guaranteed hit and no pull rate for OP-17 in either language. The product page gives the price, the 6 cards per pack and a census of how many types exist at each rarity, then adds 「カードはランダムに封入されています」, cards are enclosed at random.

That line is the whole disclosure. The rarity table below tells you three Secret Rares exist; it says nothing about your odds of seeing one across 24 packs, and percentages circulating in English are private opening tallies. Japanese Pokémon boxes publish no pull rates either, but the 30th CELEBRATION pack does put a per-pack inclusion in writing; we mapped which Japanese products promise anything in Japanese booster box guaranteed pulls. A ¥19,800 box and a ¥9,900 box hold the same 24 randomly filled packs, so the premium buys availability rather than odds.

What’s in OP-17 World’s Strongest Warrior?

131 card types plus 4 DON!! cards, sold in 6-card packs at ¥240 including tax, released August 22, 2026. Bandai publishes the rarity split on the official product page, and it adds up exactly.

The set runs on two hooks. One is Elbaf, which brings the new leader OP17-079 Monkey D. Luffy, featured on Bandai’s page as a スーパーリーダーパラレル (Super Leader Parallel), plus OP17-119 Loki and the Straw Hats in Elbaf gear. The other is the Rocks Pirates, headed by the new leader OP17-039 Rocks D. Xebec and the Secret Rare OP17-118 under the same name. The Four Emperors get Super Parallel treatments on OP17-005, OP17-022, OP17-062 and OP17-112.

Why one OP-17 card number can mean ¥2,980 or ¥498,000

yuyu-tei’s OP-17 sell page carries 177 separately priced items against the set’s 131 types. The 46 extras are parallels, Super Parallels and the 4th-anniversary prints, and each shares the base card’s number and, in almost every case, its rarity letter too. That is why OP17-118 appeared on one shop page at ¥2,980, ¥4,980 and ¥498,000 on October 3: same number, same “SEC” in the corner, three different cards. The printed tell is the small star above the rarity box, broken down card by card in Japanese One Piece card rarities.

The trap runs the other direction with the Special Cards. All 10 of OP-17’s スペシャルカード keep the numbers of the products they were first printed in: OP12-056, OP13-028, OP14-108, OP16-098, ST27-005, ST31-004, ST32-002, EB04-007, P-084 and P-107. Search a shop for “OP17-” and you will not see any of them, even though they only come out of OP-17 packs. On October 3 they ran from ¥6,980 (OP12-056 Garp) to ¥79,800 (ST31-004 Luffy).

Why are Japanese OP-17 cards priced higher than English?

At the shelf they are not. A Japanese pack is ¥240 for 6 cards, ¥40 a card; the English pack is $4.99 for 12 cards according to the pack artwork on Bandai’s English page, about ¥62 a card. The higher Japanese numbers are aftermarket prices: sealed boxes at about 1.7 times list on October 3, and Japanese-print parallels priced in Japan’s own secondary market.

The pack prices look three to one only because the packs are different sizes. The per-card math, and the point where importing beats buying English packs (about 46 packs in one parcel to the US), are in OP-17 Japanese vs English. Two things on the Japanese side are observable: part of the allocation went through a Premium Bandai lottery (August 7 to 18) and the Toei store’s ¥5,760 box sold out, and a Japanese-print parallel is a different object from its English counterpart, with its own text layout and its own market. If you are comparing a specific single, check its English price locally against the yen ask above before assuming either side is cheaper.

The other 125 cards, and what a playset actually costs

Strip out the parallels and OP-17 is a cheap set. On October 3, commons were ¥50 to ¥80, uncommons ¥80 to ¥120, rares ¥80 to ¥320, all six base leader cards ¥50 each, and base Super Rares ¥220 to ¥580. If what you want is the cards rather than the art treatments, singles are far cheaper than packs.

The buyback side is where that stops being flattering. Base SR OP17-112 Charlotte Linlin was a ¥20 buyback and OP17-022 Shanks ¥50; most of the base set has no published buyback price at all, which is a shop’s way of saying it’s bulk. Cheap to buy and near-worthless to sell back is why we frame Japan as a place to buy from rather than sell into.

Every figure above carries a date for a reason. The box floor fell by nearly half in four weeks, and the buyback side is repriced in public: yuyu-tei strikes through the old figure when it raises an offer, and on October 3, 44 of the 62 entries on its OP-17 buyback list carried that flag. That’s a shop repricing its own risk, not a forecast.
