30th CELEBRATION Deck Cases: ¥500 and ¥3,300, and the One to Buy

Published Sep 25, 2026 9 min read

The Rundown

  • Three 30th CELEBRATION deck cases cost ¥500 each and the Flip Double Deck Case costs ¥3,300, all including tax, all released September 16, 2026.
  • Only the ¥500 Deck Case 30th CELEBRATION (Pikachu, Mew, Mewtwo) has no Pokémon Center restriction on the official page; the other three are Pokémon Center and Pokémon Center Online only.
  • Each ¥500 case holds 90 sleeved cards or 180 bare cards, weighs 40g and comes with two dividers; the flip case holds two sleeved 60-card decks and weighs 189g.
  • Shipped alone, a ¥500 case lands at about ¥2,410 to Europe and ¥2,760 to the US by tracked Air Packet, roughly five times its shelf price.
  • Added to a parcel of singles already going out, the same case costs about ¥1,030 to ¥1,060 extra, which is the only way the math works.

You saw the Pikachu, Mew and Mewtwo deck box in a launch photo and want to know what it costs and whether you can get it. The answer is ¥500 for the plain deck cases and ¥3,300 for the flip double case, but only one of the four, the ¥500 Deck Case 30th CELEBRATION, is free of the Pokémon Center restriction, and any of them costs several times its shelf price to ship on its own. The fix for that second problem is simple and is the point of this article: a 40g deck case is an add-on, never a parcel. Product details are from the official 30th anniversary page and the Pokémon Center Online product pages, checked September 25, 2026.

What are the 30th CELEBRATION deck cases, and how much are they?

Four deck cases went on sale Wednesday, September 16, 2026: three standard cases at ¥500 including tax and one Flip Double Deck Case at ¥3,300.

The 30th CELEBRATION design uses the same art as the 30th CELEBRATION booster pack: Pikachu in front, Mew and Mewtwo behind. The anniversary design is a commemorative 30th logo case, and Pikachu is the only Pokémon PCO lists on it. The official page describes the starters case as silhouettes of the first partner Pokémon from nine regions, the same motif that appears on the 30th CELEBRATION deck shields and the rubber play mats from the same September 16 wave. The flip case is a crowd scene: Pokémon Center Online lists 20 Pokémon on it, including Pikachu, Espeon, Umbreon, Mew and Nidorina.

Pokémon Center Online fills in what the anniversary page leaves out. All three ¥500 cases share one spec: 7.5 × 6.3 × 9.8 cm, 40g, polypropylene body and dividers with a hook-and-loop closure, made in Japan, capacity 90 sleeved cards or 180 bare cards. The flip case is 15 × 5.5 × 10 cm, 189g, polyurethane, made in China, and holds two 60-card decks in deck shields.

Which deck case can you buy outside Pokémon Center?

The ¥500 Deck Case 30th CELEBRATION. It is the only one of the four whose entry on the official page carries no handling-store line; the other three state they are Pokémon Center and Pokémon Center Online items.

On a page that repeats the Pokémon Center line three times, leaving it off one product reads as general distribution, which is the layer that ordinary card shops and proxy services reach. Pokémon Center Online sells it too, so it is not exclusive to either side. For the other three, the official page adds the standard qualifiers: stock differs by store, quantities are limited, purchase limits may apply, and the items may later appear at Pokémon Store, the Pokémon Center Yokohama Satellite, the Amazon.co.jp “Pokémon Store” or event venues, with no date attached.

Here is what Pokémon Center Online showed for each case when we checked the product pages on the morning of September 25, 2026, Japan time. Stock on PCO changes daily, so treat this as a snapshot, not a forecast.

None of that stock is reachable from abroad. Pokémon Center Online delivers to Japanese addresses only, and the one-per-person limit means even a buyer in Japan picks up one of each at most. A forwarding address solves delivery and nothing else.

What does a ¥500 deck case cost landed overseas?

About ¥2,410 to Europe and ¥2,760 to the US if it ships alone, and about ¥1,030 to ¥1,060 extra if it rides inside a parcel you are already sending. The difference between those two numbers is the whole decision.

Pokémon Center Online lists the case at 40g, so with packaging it sits comfortably in Japan Post’s up-to-200g International Air Packet tier. The proxy line uses Neokyo’s published structure, a ¥350 per-item fee plus ¥500 parcel preparation, which is the cheapest single-item structure we have verified.

⚠️ A ¥500 case is not a parcel

Ordered on its own, the case costs about 4.8 times its price to Europe and 5.5 times to the US, and postage alone (¥1,410 to the US) is nearly three times the case. Inside a parcel you are already sending, the postage share drops to ¥180 to ¥210. Decide before the proxy packs your box, because reopening a sealed parcel is a paid job at every service we have checked.

This is also why no one should pay a proxy to “try” Pokémon Center Online for these. The shelf price is ¥500; the fee to attempt it is most of that, and there is no allocation to buy.

🗼 What we can do about this

The trap with these cases is not the price, it is that three of the four are Pokémon Center items with a one-per-person limit and the fourth is cheap enough that shipping it alone costs five times what it does. That is exactly the kind of order the desk sorts out. Tell us which design you want and what else you are already buying from Japan, and we check the live Japanese market (card shop stock, Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions) and send back a free report: the listings we would pick, the yen price against the ¥500 or ¥3,300 reference figure, condition notes, and an all-in estimate including proxy fees and shipping to your country, with the case priced inside your parcel rather than as its own shipment. You buy directly from the links. Our job is finding the best way to buy it from Japan and telling you. To be exact about what nobody can do: no service can place a Pokémon Center Online order to a foreign address or get around the one-per-person limit.

Is the ¥3,300 Flip Double Deck Case worth importing?

It is the one case here that is a real product rather than a cheap box: a 189g polyurethane case that holds two sleeved 60-card decks, with a lid that comes off by magnet. Budget about ¥5,570 to Europe or ¥5,980 to the US landed if it ships alone.

At 15 × 5.5 × 10 cm and 189g before packaging, we have priced it in the up-to-400g Air Packet tier to leave room for a box. If it packs lighter, the postage line only moves down, to ¥1,240 to Europe or ¥1,620 to the US at up to 300g.

Line itemEurope (3rd Zone)US (4th Zone)
Flip case at suggested retail¥3,300¥3,300
Proxy charges, one item¥850¥850
Air Packet, up to 400g (tracked, no compensation)¥1,420¥1,830
All-in floor, before import tax¥5,570¥5,980
Same parcel by EMS (500g minimum, tracked and covered)¥7,300¥8,050

Here the multiplier is gentler, about 1.7 to 1.8 times the shelf price, because the case itself is worth more. That makes it a reasonable single purchase in a way the ¥500 cases are not. The catch is the channel: it is a Pokémon Center item that showed sold out on PCO when we checked, so from abroad you are buying it on the secondary market, and the ¥3,300 row above becomes whatever the listing asks.

💡 What "double" means here

The flip case is sized for two complete 60-card decks in deck shields, not one deck plus a sideboard. If you sleeve with the 64-card 30th CELEBRATION shields, that is two packs of sleeves and two decks in one case, which is the combination the product is built around.

How much does a standard 30th CELEBRATION deck case hold?

90 cards in deck shields or 180 without sleeves, per Pokémon Center Online, for all three ¥500 cases. That is one sleeved 60-card deck with 30 slots to spare, or a bulk stack of bare cards split into sections by the two dividers.

Two things to know before you pick one for tournament use. The official pages describe the dividers as organization aids and say nothing about double-sleeving, so if you run inner and outer sleeves, test before you trust the 90-card figure. And the body is polypropylene with a hook-and-loop closure, a lighter-duty build than the polyurethane flip case. At ¥500 that is expected; it is a collectible box you can use, not a hard case.

The route that works now

✅ Before you buy a 30th CELEBRATION deck case

  • Search the exact Japanese names, not English: デッキケース 30th CELEBRATION, デッキケース 30周年デザイン, デッキケース 旅立ちの3匹, フリップダブルデッキケース みんなでおいわい
  • Start with the 30th CELEBRATION design if you are flexible, because it is the only one card shops can carry
  • Hold every listing against ¥500 or ¥3,300 so you know the premium you are paying
  • Put a ¥500 case in a parcel with other items; never ship it alone
  • Add your own country's duty or VAT on the declared value; none of the figures above include it

If you want one case and do not care which, the Deck Case 30th CELEBRATION is the easy answer: unrestricted, ¥500, and light enough that it barely moves a parcel of singles. If you want the starters, the anniversary logo or the flip case specifically, plan on the Japanese secondary market and price the whole basket together. Weight tiers and carrier options are laid out in full in our shipping costs from Japan guide, and more Japanese release dates are on our release calendar.

Frequently asked questions

How much do the 30th CELEBRATION deck cases cost?

Three of them cost ¥500 including tax: Deck Case 30th CELEBRATION, Deck Case 30th Anniversary Design and Deck Case Tabidachi no Sanbiki (the starters). The Flip Double Deck Case Minna de Oiwai costs ¥3,300 including tax. Each ¥500 case comes with two dividers; the flip case is the case alone.

How much does a ¥500 deck case cost to get overseas?

About ¥2,410 to Europe and ¥2,760 to the US if it ships alone. That is the ¥500 case, ¥850 in one proxy's published single-item charges, and tracked International Air Packet in the up-to-200g tier. Put the same case in a parcel of singles you are already sending and the extra cost falls to roughly ¥1,030 to Europe or ¥1,060 to the US. Import tax in your country is on top.

How many cards fit in a 30th CELEBRATION deck case?

Pokémon Center Online lists 90 cards in deck shields or 180 cards without sleeves for each of the three ¥500 cases, which measure 7.5 × 6.3 × 9.8 cm. The Flip Double Deck Case holds two 60-card decks in deck shields, per the official 30th anniversary page, and its lid comes off with a magnet.

Can I buy the 30th CELEBRATION deck cases from Pokémon Center Online outside Japan?

No. Pokémon Center Online delivers to Japanese addresses only, and the official page lists three of the four cases as Pokémon Center and Pokémon Center Online items. Every case on PCO also carries a one-per-person limit. The realistic route from abroad is a proxy buying on the Japanese secondary market or, for the unrestricted 30th CELEBRATION design, from ordinary card shop stock.
