Information about the Japanese TCG market is scattered. Official announcements are in Japanese. Price data lives on Japanese marketplaces most collectors can't read. Buying guides skip the fees and shipping realities. English-language coverage tends to pick one of those lanes — news, or prices, or proxy tutorials — and rarely connects them.
Tokyo Card Report puts them in one place: what's coming out in Japan, what it costs, and how to actually get it delivered to your door — with the context you need to decide whether it's worth it.
How we work
- Sources first — Every article cites its sources. Set details, dates, and prices trace back to official Japanese announcements and primary data, not secondhand rumor.
- Verified on the ground — Tokyo shop reports cover what we've actually seen, with the date we saw it. If we haven't confirmed it, we don't publish it.
- Translated for collectors, not word-for-word — We don't just translate Japanese announcements; we explain what they mean for someone collecting outside Japan — how a JP set maps to English releases, what a restock signal means for prices, which fees actually apply to you.
Who runs it
