One Piece BASE SHOP Limited Binder vol.1: ¥1,650, Store-Only Oct 9

Published Oct 2, 2026 8 min read

The Rundown

  • ¥1,650 tax included, released October 9, 2026, one 2-pocket binder per unit, four designs styled after ONE PIECE manga volumes 1, 61, 105 and 111.
  • It is sold in one place: ONE PIECE BASE SHOP on the 4th floor of Shinjuku Marui Main Building, Tokyo. BASE SHOP's own product record lists it as in-store only, and no online sale has been announced.
  • Entry to the store runs on timed reservations drawn by lottery in the ONE PIECE BASE app, with ID checks and face recognition at the door. The English site states reservations can only be made in Japan.
  • The current limit for BASE SHOP merchandise is two of each product per person, counted separately for the reservation holder and each companion.
  • Precedent from earlier BASE SHOP card goods on Yahoo! Auctions (September 2026): the cardless card case sold at a median ¥4,140 against ¥2,970 list, while the 6-card collection sold at ¥4,200 against ¥1,650.

You saw the BASE SHOP Limited Binder vol.1 (BASE SHOPリミテッドバインダー vol.1) on the ONE PIECE Card Game site, liked the manga-cover designs, and went looking for somewhere to order it. It costs ¥1,650, it goes on sale October 9, 2026, and it is sold in exactly one place: the ONE PIECE BASE SHOP inside Shinjuku Marui Main Building in Tokyo, which you can only enter with an app reservation that the store says can only be made in Japan. So the real question is not where to preorder it. It is what the Japanese resale market will charge after launch day, and the earlier BASE SHOP card goods give a decent answer.

Can you buy the BASE SHOP Limited Binder vol.1 outside the store?

Not through any official channel. BASE SHOP’s own product record lists the binder’s sales form as in-store, and neither the card game site nor the store site mentions an online sale, a retailer or a lottery to buy it.

Here is everything the two official pages confirm.

The pitch on the store’s product page is that you keep favorite cards inside and shelve the binder next to your manga. At 115 × 175 mm it is close to the footprint of a Japanese manga volume, which is the whole joke of the design.

One small trap: BASE SHOP’s August 27 announcement poster for the October 9 lineup printed the binder at ¥1,500 each. Both product pages now say ¥1,650, and BASE SHOP’s own record was last updated September 14, so treat ¥1,650 as the real list price. If a reseller quotes “below list” against ¥1,500, they are using the old number.

What is ONE PIECE BASE SHOP, and how do you get in?

It is the official ONE PIECE flagship store run by Bandai Namco, open since December 5, 2025 on the 4th floor of Shinjuku Marui Main Building (3-30-13 Shinjuku, Shinjuku-ku), one minute from Shinjuku-sanchome Station exit A1 and about five minutes on foot from JR Shinjuku’s East Exit. There is no second branch listed on the official site.

Getting through the door is the hard part. The store has run on advance reservations since opening, and the process is the same every month:

1
Register in the ONE PIECE BASE appYou need a BASE CREW account tied to a Bandai Namco ID, and from September 29, 2026 a residential address set on that ID.
2
Apply for a time slot by lotteryEach period opens weeks ahead; results for October 9 to November 12 were announced on September 9.
3
Grab leftovers first-comeUnclaimed and cancelled slots for October 9 to November 12 opened first-come at 8 PM on September 30.
4
Enter with the QR code and your faceStaff may check your registered details against photo ID, and face recognition has been in use since June 1, 2026.

Entry is limited to once per person per day, whether you hold the reservation or come as a companion. The English version of the site adds a line under the app download button that settles the overseas question: Reservations can only be made in Japan.

⚠️ Do not buy a resold entry ticket

Reservation tickets cannot be sold or transferred to anyone, friends and family included, and the store's Q&A says it will refuse entry if it cannot confirm the applicant or finds a resold ticket, with no refund of your travel costs. Since June 2026 the face check makes this enforceable at the door, and the store says attempted entry by someone other than the registered person can get you barred from future visits. A "BASE SHOP entry QR" listing on a resale site is money spent on a refusal.

How many can you buy, and is there really no online store?

The current BASE SHOP limit is two of each product per person, from the store’s purchase-limit notice. The reservation holder and each companion are counted separately, and companions have to be junior high school age or older to buy anything. The binder is not named on its own line, so it falls under the general “BASE SHOP merchandise” rule, and the notice does not say whether each of the four covers counts as a separate product.

As for online: BASE SHOP has sold online exactly once. After a rough opening day on December 5, 2025, the store suspended merchandise sales until January 13, 2026, and as compensation it opened an online sale for people who had held reservations between December 5 and January 12. That sale went through Premium Bandai, shipped within Japan only, and the notice states plainly that the service was not available from overseas. It was a remedy for a specific group, not a standing online store, and nothing similar has been announced for the binder.

What happened to earlier BASE SHOP card goods?

They sold out of the store and onto Yahoo! Auctions, and the ones without cards held close to list. The binder is the sixth ONE PIECE Card Game item made for BASE SHOP. We pulled the closed Yahoo! Auctions listings for each earlier item and kept single units only (no sets, no graded copies) to see how this works in practice.

List prices from each item’s ONE PIECE Card Game product page. Resale figures are our count of closed Yahoo! Auctions listings, September 1 to October 1, 2026, except the sleeves, which had no September single-unit sales.

The spread follows what is in the box. The card collection, which is six cards, closed at roughly 2.5 times list. The playmats sit about 10% over list. The card case, the most recent and the closest cousin to a binder as a pure accessory, is running at about 1.4 times list one month after release. That is a precedent, not a forecast, but it suggests a ¥1,650 binder is a few-thousand-yen problem rather than a five-figure one.

🗼 What we can do about this one

The binder is only sold inside one Shinjuku store, and the entry reservation is ID-checked, face-checked and can only be made in Japan. Nobody can book that slot for you from abroad. What we can do starts on October 9, when the first binders reach the Japanese secondary market: tell us which cover you want, and the desk checks the live Japanese listings (Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions, shop stock) and sends back a free report with the listings we would pick, the yen price, condition notes, and an all-in estimate including proxy fees and shipping to your country. You buy directly from the links; our job is finding the best way to buy it from Japan and telling you. Name the volume number, because the four covers will not list or price identically.

So what for overseas collectors?

This is the same structure as the event-only goods we covered for the Flame-Flame Fruit Coliseum and Best Selection vol.7: an item at a modest list price, a gate that only people physically in Japan can pass, and a resale market that does the rest. The difference is that BASE SHOP runs every day, so supply keeps trickling out for as long as the binder stays on the shelf instead of arriving in one weekend.

What that means in practice:

  • There are no cards in it. The binder is storage, not a product with game value, so the resale premium is driven by the store gate alone. That is why the card case is the better comparison than the card collection.
  • Expect four separate markets. Volume 1 (Romance Dawn) and the newer covers will attract different buyers, and sellers will list single covers and four-cover sets side by side. Compare per-binder prices.
  • Fees matter more than the item. On a ¥1,650 binder, a proxy service fee and international shipping can match or exceed the item price. Read how the hidden costs stack up and combine it with other purchases if you can.
  • Do not wait for a retail release. The binder is labeled limited (限定) on BASE SHOP’s own record, unlike the two earlier items marked as advance sales (先行). Nothing official suggests it will reach regular shops.

For the wider picture of getting One Piece product out of Japan, our guide to buying One Piece cards from Japan compares the routes that ship overseas.

If you only want one, pick your cover before October 9 and set the alert the same day: the first week of listings is when the per-cover differences are easiest to see.

Frequently asked questions

How much does the BASE SHOP Limited Binder vol.1 cost?

The list price is ¥1,650 tax included per binder, on both the ONE PIECE Card Game product page and BASE SHOP's own product record. An earlier BASE SHOP announcement poster printed ¥1,500, but both product pages now say ¥1,650, so use that figure. Bought from overseas through the secondary market, you pay the seller's price plus proxy fees and shipping from Japan, and earlier BASE SHOP accessories have resold above list.

Can I order the BASE SHOP binder online or from Premium Bandai?

No online sale has been announced. BASE SHOP's product record lists the binder's sales form as in-store. The only online sale BASE SHOP has run was a one-off in January 2026 for people who had reservations between December 5, 2025 and January 12, 2026, it shipped within Japan only, and the notice said the service was not available from overseas.

Can a tourist get into ONE PIECE BASE SHOP?

Entry needs a timed reservation made in the ONE PIECE BASE app with a Bandai Namco ID, and most slots are drawn by lottery, with leftover slots released first-come. The English site states that reservations can only be made in Japan. At the door, the store may check your registered details against photo ID and has used face recognition since June 1, 2026, so a reservation cannot be handed to someone else.

What are the four BASE SHOP binder designs?

The four designs are named 巻一, 巻六十一, 巻百五 and 巻百十一, and the official images show them styled after the covers of ONE PIECE manga volumes 1, 61, 105 and 111. Each is a 2-pocket binder measuring 115 × 175 × 15 mm, designed to stand on a bookshelf like a manga volume. The official pages do not state how many cards each binder holds.

How many binders can one person buy at BASE SHOP?

BASE SHOP's current purchase-limit notice caps its own merchandise at two of each product per person, counted for the reservation holder and each companion separately. Companions must be junior high school age or older to buy. The binder is not named on its own line, and the notice does not say whether each cover counts as a separate product.
