OP-16 The Time of Battle Prices in Japan: Admirals at ¥148,000
The Rundown
- On November 6, 2026, yuyu-tei's OP-16 list has 157 items with a median ask of ¥80. The top three are the Three Admirals super parallels (OP16-063 Kuzan, OP16-065 Sakazuki, OP16-073 Borsalino) at ¥148,000 each, all sold out.
- A sealed OP-16 box is 24 packs at ¥220, so ¥5,280 at list. On 価格.com it starts at ¥11,680, with 23 listings running to ¥22,800 and a median of ¥13,480 (record updated November 5, 2026).
- The Secret Rares are cheap: OP16-118 Portgas.D.Ace ¥1,480 and OP16-119 Marshall.D.Teach ¥3,480. Their parallels are ¥3,980 and ¥5,980.
- The 36 parallels, SP and TR listings make up ¥588,000 of the ¥603,800 it costs to buy one of every numbered card. The three super parallels alone are 74% of that total.
- Buyback on the super parallels is ¥75,000, about half the ask. Suruga-ya had one B-rank super parallel Kuzan at ¥102,400 the same morning.

OP-16, the ONE PIECE Card Game booster Bandai titles 決戦の刻 in Japan and -THE TIME OF BATTLE- in English, came out on May 30, 2026 at ¥220 for a 6-card pack. Five months on, the price picture is very lopsided. On November 6, 2026, yuyu-tei (遊々亭) lists the three Admiral super parallels at ¥148,000 each, all sold out, while the median OP-16 card is ¥80 and a sealed box starts at ¥11,680 on 価格.com. Here is where the money sits, what the buyback says, and how the box compares.
What do OP-16 chase cards cost in Japan right now?
The chase cards are the three super parallels, not the Secret Rares. Six OP-16 listings are at ¥10,000 or more at yuyu-tei, and four of those six were sold out when we checked.
The table lists every OP-16 card at ¥10,000 or more, plus both Secret Rares and the Treasure Rare for reference. “Ask” is yuyu-tei’s 販売 (hanbai) sell price, “Buyback” is its 買取 (kaitori) offer, and “Sold out” means the stock line showed ×. Rarity is the shop’s label (P- means parallel).

Prices read from yuyu-tei’s OP-16 sell and buyback pages on November 6, 2026, at 07:33 JST.
An ask is a shop listing, not a completed sale. A sold-out ask is a price nobody could pay there that day, so treat the three ¥148,000 figures as the shop’s label, not a trade. For a second shop, Suruga-ya (駿河屋) had one super parallel Kuzan graded B rank by the shop at ¥102,400 the same morning.
Bandai’s own page explains why these three lead: 「今回のスーパーパラレルは“三大将”」, this set’s super parallel is the Three Admirals. The English page says the same in its own words, calling them “Super Alt-Art.”

How do the 157 OP-16 listings add up?
Buying one of each of the 155 numbered cards on yuyu-tei’s page would cost ¥603,800, and ¥444,000 of that (74%) is the three super parallels. The 119 regular cards together come to ¥15,800.
| Measure | Figure (yuyu-tei, November 6, 2026) |
|---|---|
| Listings on the OP-16 sell page | 157 (155 numbered cards + 2 DON!! cards) |
| One of each numbered card | ¥603,800 |
| 36 parallels, SP and TR listings | ¥588,000, median ¥3,730 |
| 119 regular cards | ¥15,800, median ¥80 |
| Numbered cards at ¥100 or less | 89 |
| Listings sold out | 14 |
| Buyback listings | 46 |
The 119 regular cards and 36 extra versions match Bandai’s own count: the official card list holds 155 entries under 119 numbers, as our guide to Japanese One Piece rarities lays out, and the product page counts 6 SP cards and 1 Treasure Rare. All six SPs yuyu-tei files under OP-16 carry numbers from older sets: OP14-084, ST15-005, EB04-054, OP11-067, OP14-029 and OP10-045. A search for “OP16” alone will not find them.
The regular rarities are cheap. Commons are ¥50 to ¥80, Rares ¥80 to ¥220, and nine of the ten Super Rares are ¥220. The exception is OP16-056 Mr.3 (Galdino) at ¥980, sold out. All six regular Leaders are ¥50.
Which Sakazuki is the ¥148,000 one?
Only one of the three cards printed OP16-065. At yuyu-tei the base SR is ¥220, the parallel is ¥780 with 10 in stock, and the super parallel is ¥148,000, sold out. Kuzan (OP16-063) and Borsalino (OP16-073) follow the same pattern: ¥80, ¥780, ¥148,000.
The buyback makes the gap clearer. yuyu-tei offers ¥100 for each Admiral parallel and ¥75,000 for each super parallel. Same number, same character, a 750x gap in what the shop will pay.
⚠️ "OP16-065 parallel" can mean ¥780 or ¥148,000
All three versions of each Admiral share the card number in the corner, and yuyu-tei's own label for the top one is パラレル plus スーパーパラレル. An overseas listing that says only "parallel" or "alt art" has not told you which one it is. Ask for a clear photo of the full card front before you pay a super parallel price, and compare it with Bandai's image for that card. Our rarity guide walks through how the star above the rarity letter separates the versions.
What does the buyback tell you?
It is the price the shop commits its own cash to, so it is the closest thing to a floor on a public page. For the three super parallels that floor is ¥75,000, about 51% of the ask.
The Secret Rares sit at very different ratios. OP16-119 Teach is bought at ¥2,800 against ¥3,480 (80%), which usually means a shop wants more copies. OP16-118 Ace is ¥600 against ¥1,480 (41%) with stock shown as plentiful. The Miss All Sunday SP is ¥20,000 against ¥34,800 (57%). None of this says where a price goes next, and we are not suggesting anyone buy a card to resell it.
🗼 What we can do about this
The OP-16 cards worth chasing are sold out at the big Tokyo shop, and three of them hide behind numbers shared with ¥780 parallels. Send us the cards you are after, whether that is one of the Admiral super parallels, the OP14-084 Miss All Sunday SP or a sealed box, and we check live Japanese listings (shop stock, Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions) and send back a free report: the listings we would pick, which version each one actually is, the yen price, and an all-in estimate including proxy fees and shipping to your country. If buying locally works out cheaper, the report says so. You buy directly from the links; our job is finding the best way to buy it from Japan and telling you.

How much is a sealed OP-16 box in Japan?
List price is ¥5,280 (¥220 × 24 packs). The open market starts at ¥11,680. Bandai’s product page gives the ¥220 pack price but no box count; the 24 comes from the 価格.com product record (1BOX:24パック入り) and matches Suruga-ya’s 定価 of ¥5,280.
🏷️ List price
- ¥220 per 6-card pack
- 24 packs = ¥5,280
- Suruga-ya 定価 ¥5,280
- Suruga-ya own stock: sold out
🛒 Open market, November 2026
- 価格.com cheapest ¥11,680
- 23 listings, ¥11,680 to ¥22,800
- Median ¥13,480
- Suruga-ya marketplace: 2 used, from ¥9,480
Read the listings before you trust the floor. Some of the 価格.com box offers are labeled 訳あり (damaged outer box) at ¥13,479, and one ¥13,380 listing is marked 再販 (reprint) with bonus packs. The Suruga-ya marketplace copies are listed as used, so check the shrink wrap photos.
OP-16’s ¥220 pack is cheaper than the ¥240 Bandai set for OP-17 and OP-18, so the ¥5,760 box math in our OP-17 set guide does not carry over here. For what a Japanese box does and does not guarantee, see Japanese One Piece booster box packs and guarantees.
Is a box cheaper than buying the chase card?
Not if you want a specific card. At ¥11,680 a box, one ¥148,000 super parallel equals about 12.7 boxes at the cheapest open-market price. Bandai publishes no pull rates for super parallels, SPs or the TR, only 「カードはランダムに封入されています」 (cards are enclosed at random), so nobody can honestly tell you how many boxes a given card takes.
If you want the opening, buy a box. If you want a named card, the singles list tells you exactly what you get and what it costs today.
How do you compare an overseas listing with the Japanese price?
Search by number and version, then add proxy fees and shipping to the yen figure. An eBay search for OP16-065 Sakazuki super parallel (paid link) is a fair starting point for the overseas side, as long as you read each listing’s photos.
The English OP-16 released on June 12, 2026 at USD $4.99 a pack and uses the same card numbers, so make sure a listing says Japanese if that is what you want. For routes and proxy services, see buying One Piece cards from Japan.
✅ Before you pay for an OP-16 chase card
- Match number and version: OP16-063, OP16-065 and OP16-073 each have a base card, a parallel and a super parallel.
- For SP cards, search the printed number: OP14-084, ST15-005, EB04-054, OP11-067, OP14-029, OP10-045.
- Check whether the Japanese ask you are comparing with was in stock or sold out.
- Note the date on any yen price. Ours is November 6, 2026, 07:33 JST.
- Add proxy fees and shipping before you compare with a local listing.
What is official, and what is not?
Official: the May 30, 2026 release, ¥220 for 6 cards, 126 types plus 1 DON!! card, 6 SP cards, 1 Treasure Rare, 2 Secret Rares and the Three Admirals as the super parallels. Those come from Bandai’s Japanese and English product pages.
Not official: every price in this article. They are one shop’s asks and buybacks on one morning, plus retailer box listings, checked November 6, 2026. Upcoming One Piece products are on our releases page. Read this as a snapshot of where Tokyo priced OP-16 five months after release, not a forecast.
