The Rundown
- Entry for both boxes runs October 2, 12:00 JST to October 5, 16:59 JST, one entry per person per lottery.
- Most winning slots go to the Players Club identity-verified frame (本人認証済み枠); the rest go to the unverified frame.
- Results land October 14 (Inferno X from 15:00, Storm Emeralda from 17:00 JST) and both purchase windows close October 20, 16:59 JST.
- Winning boxes ship to Japanese addresses only: Storm Emeralda November 25 to December 10, Inferno X December 10 to 25, 2026.
- Overseas residents can't legitimately enter. The usable route is buying sealed boxes on the Japanese market through a proxy, with the shrink checked.

Pokémon Center Online (PCO) announced on September 29, 2026 that it will run an additional lottery sale (追加抽選販売) for booster boxes of Inferno X (インフェルノX) and Storm Emeralda (ストームエメラルダ). If you live outside Japan, here’s the short version: you can’t legitimately enter it, because PCO membership is limited to Japan residents and lottery boxes ship only to Japanese addresses. What the round does change is supply. A fresh batch of sealed boxes lands in Japanese homes between November 25 and December 25, and that’s the market you can actually buy from.
Inferno X and Storm Emeralda PCO lottery: the dates
Entry opens Thursday, October 2 at 12:00 JST and closes Monday, October 5 at 16:59 JST, the same window for both products. You get one entry per person per lottery. The two products then split on results time and shipping.
| Product | Entry window (JST) | Results (JST) | Purchase window (JST) | Scheduled shipping |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MEGA expansion pack Inferno X BOX | Oct 2, 12:00 to Oct 5, 16:59 | Oct 14, from 15:00 | Oct 14, 15:00 to Oct 20, 16:59 | Dec 10 to Dec 25, 2026 |
| MEGA expansion pack Storm Emeralda BOX | Oct 2, 12:00 to Oct 5, 16:59 | Oct 14, from 17:00 | Oct 14, 17:00 to Oct 20, 16:59 | Nov 25 to Dec 10, 2026 |
The notice itself sits on PCO behind a Queue-it waiting room, so we confirmed the listing through the official Pokémon Card Game news index (dated 2026.9.29, titled 「ポケモンセンターオンラインでの商品の抽選受け付けについて」) and the dates through Inside’s report of the notice. For your time zone: 12:00 JST on October 2 is 11:00 p.m. on October 1 in New York (EDT), and the 16:59 JST close on October 5 is 3:59 a.m. that morning in New York.
Neither set is new. Inferno X released in Japan on September 26, 2025 at ¥180 per five-card pack; Storm Emeralda released on July 31, 2026 at ¥200 per five-card pack, both from the official set pages. A Japanese box is 30 packs, and PCO listed the Storm Emeralda BOX at ¥6,000 in its first lottery back in June. We could not read the October notice’s own box prices past the waiting room, so treat those as unconfirmed until you see the PCO page.
Can overseas collectors enter the October lottery?
No. This is the same answer as every PCO draw this year, and it rests on the terms, not on the identity check. PCO’s terms limit membership applications to individuals resident in Japan and list registering under another person’s name as prohibited conduct. Its lottery sales deliver only inside Japan: the support page for the original Storm Emeralda lottery states 「商品のお届け先は、日本国内に限らせていただきます」 (delivery is limited to Japan) and adds that payment is credit card only, with 3D Secure.
| Requirement | What PCO asks for | Can a non-resident meet it? |
|---|---|---|
| Membership | An individual resident in Japan | No. This is the first lock |
| Delivery | An address in Japan; carrier redirects not allowed | No, not as your own address |
| Payment | Credit card with 3D Secure | Possibly, but it doesn’t matter if the first two fail |
| Order right after a win | Valid only for the applicant, not transferable | No one can hand you theirs |

What do the verified and unverified frames mean?
The draw has two lanes, and most of the winning slots sit in the verified one. Inside’s report of the notice quotes PCO saying the majority of wins are prepared as the 「プレイヤーズクラブ:本人認証済み枠当選分」, the Players Club identity-verified allocation. Everyone else enters the 本人未認証枠, the unverified frame.
🪪 Verified frame (本人認証済み枠)
- Players Club account bound to a Japanese My Number Card
- Holds the majority of winning slots
- The card is issued only off a Japanese resident record
- One entry per person per lottery
📱 Unverified frame (本人未認証枠)
- No My Number Card needed
- Holds the remaining, smaller share of wins
- Earlier 2026 PCO draws asked for PCO phone-number verification here
- Same Japan-only delivery and residency terms
The practical point for a reader abroad: the unverified lane is not a back door. It removes the My Number requirement, not the residency clause or the Japanese delivery address.
What this round means for overseas buyers
It adds sealed supply to the Japanese market on a known schedule, and nothing before that. Every box won in this lottery ships to a Japanese address, Storm Emeralda from November 25 and Inferno X from December 10. The October round tells you when the extra boxes arrive in Japan. It tells you nothing about what they’ll sell for, and we’re not going to guess.
Two mechanical facts are worth keeping in mind as you shop:
- Timing. A sealed box from this round cannot physically be in a Japanese seller’s hands before its shipping window opens. Listings for these sets before then are existing stock from earlier sales.
- Scale is unpublished. PCO does not say how many boxes the round holds, so there is no way to size it from outside. “Additional lottery” means more boxes than zero, not a stated number.
Inferno X has been on sale for over a year, so in Japan it trades on the secondary market already, while Storm Emeralda’s first allocation ran through lotteries and invitation-only listings in the summer. For what sealed Storm Emeralda was actually asking on Japanese shops, see our four-shop Storm Emeralda box price read; that page is dated, and asks move.
🗼 What we can do about this
The October boxes go only to Japan-resident winners at Japanese addresses, so the part of this supply an overseas collector can reach is what shows up on the Japanese market afterward. That's where the desk works. Tell us which box you want (Inferno X, Storm Emeralda, or both) and we check the live Japanese listings on Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions and shop stock, then send back a free report: the listings we'd pick, the yen price, what each listing says about the shrink, and an all-in estimate including proxy fees and shipping to your country. You buy directly from the links. We don't enter lotteries for anyone; our job is finding the best way to buy it from Japan and telling you.

How overseas collectors can actually buy these boxes
The working route is the Japanese secondary market through a proxy, and the check that matters most is the shrink wrap. Here’s the order that avoids the expensive mistakes.
Shrink is the step people skip. A Japanese box’s shrink state lives in the listing’s free text, and a proxy’s inspection will not open a sealed box to check contents. Our guide to shrink-wrapped vs resealed Japanese booster box listings covers the exact Japanese wording and what the platforms will and won’t do if the box isn’t what the listing said.
eBay is the other route. Sellers there have already done the importing, so you pay their markup instead of proxy fees and forwarding. Which one comes out cheaper depends on the specific listing; compare the all-in number, not the sticker.
⚠️ Tripwire: "we'll enter the PCO lottery for you" and presold wins
Two kinds of listing will appear around this round. The first is a paid "lottery entry service": PCO's terms prohibit registering under another person's name, and the order right after a win belongs to the applicant and cannot be transferred, so the service is selling something the rules don't allow. The second is a listing that sells a box "from the PCO lottery" before it has shipped. Nothing from this round ships before November 25 (Storm Emeralda) or December 10 (Inferno X), so a seller taking your money in October is selling a box they don't have and may never get.
The October 2–5 checklist for readers outside Japan
If you only take one thing from this page, take the calendar: the lottery window is a Japan-resident event, and the dates that matter to you are the shipping windows.
✅ Before you buy a box from this round
- Skip the entry form: residency, Japanese delivery and the non-transferable order right all close it
- Don't pay for any listing that promises a PCO-lottery box before its shipping window opens
- Search in Japanese and confirm シュリンク付き in the listing text, not just the photo
- Get the proxy fee and international shipping into your number before you compare with eBay
- Check the JP release calendar if you're weighing a newer set instead
Everything above comes from the official set pages, the PCO support page for the original Storm Emeralda lottery, and the reported details of the September 29 notice. If PCO revises the dates, the notice on its site is the one that counts.
Frequently asked questions
Can I enter the Inferno X or Storm Emeralda Pokémon Center Online lottery from outside Japan?
No, not legitimately. Pokémon Center Online's terms limit membership to individuals resident in Japan, and its lottery sales deliver only to addresses in Japan. Registering under someone else's name is prohibited conduct under those terms, and the right to buy a won item stays with the applicant, so a friend or a paid service cannot enter on your behalf either.
When do the Inferno X and Storm Emeralda lottery winners ship?
According to the October lottery details, Storm Emeralda boxes are scheduled to ship November 25 to December 10, 2026, and Inferno X boxes December 10 to 25, 2026. Both go to Japanese addresses only. That means boxes from this round cannot physically reach a Japanese resale listing before late November.
What is the official price of Inferno X and Storm Emeralda?
The official set pages list a suggested retail price per pack: ¥180 for a 5-card Inferno X pack and ¥200 for a 5-card Storm Emeralda pack, tax included. A Japanese box holds 30 packs; Pokémon Center Online listed the Storm Emeralda BOX at ¥6,000 in its earlier lottery. We could not read the October notice's own box prices behind PCO's waiting room, so confirm them there.
What is the difference between the verified and unverified frames?
The verified frame (本人認証済み枠) is for Players Club accounts verified with a Japanese My Number Card, and it holds most of the winning slots. The unverified frame (本人未認証枠) takes everyone else. Each person gets one entry per lottery, so picking the frame matters. Neither frame changes the Japan-residency and Japan-delivery rules.
