The Rundown

  • OP-18 The Dominance of God (神の支配) releases in Japan on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at ¥240 a pack, 6 cards, 127+1 types, per Bandai's Japanese product page.
  • The English edition is official: November 20, 2026 at an MSRP of USD $4.99 a pack, per Bandai's English site. The Asia-English site lists November 21, 2026.
  • All three official pages give the same count, 127+1 types. None publishes a card list yet, so card-for-card identity is not confirmed.
  • Of the three dates shops and blogs quoted before Bandai published, November 21 was right. November 22 (labelled a Saturday, but a Sunday) and November 28 were wrong.
  • Amazon.co.jp's 24-pack box sits at ¥5,782, close to the ¥5,760 list price. Rakuten marketplace sellers were asking ¥19,760 to ¥39,800 for the same box on Sep 24.

💡 Updated October 7, 2026

Earlier versions of this article said the English edition and its name were still unannounced. That was wrong: Bandai's English site lists The Dominance of God for November 20, 2026 at $4.99 a pack. We have corrected it throughout. The Japanese date is unchanged.

Bandai revealed the 18th ONE PIECE Card Game booster, 神の支配【OP-18】, on stage at ONE PIECE DAY’26 on August 23, 2026. Its official English name is The Dominance of God. (We originally called it God’s Rule, our own literal translation of 神の支配; we use Bandai’s name from here on.) OP-18 releases in Japan on Saturday, November 21, 2026 at ¥240 a pack, and in English on November 20, 2026 at $4.99 a pack.

When does OP-18 come out?

Saturday, November 21, 2026, in Japan. Here is what Bandai’s Japanese page states, word for word in the fields that matter.

Source: onepiece-cardgame.com/products/op18.html, first seen September 26, 2026 and rechecked October 7, 2026. A box is 24 packs (that is how Amazon.co.jp lists it), so list price for a box is ¥5,760.

When does OP-18 come out in English, and is it the same set?

The English edition, The Dominance of God, is dated November 20, 2026 at USD $4.99 a pack; the Japanese edition is November 21 at ¥240; the Asia-English edition is November 21. All three official pages list 127+1 types.

English, en.onepiece-cardgame.comNovember 20, 2026USD $4.99 MSRP
Asia-English, asia-en.onepiece-cardgame.comNovember 21, 2026not listed (6 cards per pack)

All three pages checked October 7, 2026. The English page titles it BOOSTER PACK -THE DOMINANCE OF GOD- [OP-18].

Is it the same set? The count matches: 127+1 types on all three pages. None publishes a card list or rarity breakdown yet, so whether every card lines up one for one cannot be confirmed today.

A Japanese pack lists at ¥240 against the $4.99 English MSRP, but that gap only matters if freight and proxy fees leave something over. If you want English cards for English-language events, the English edition is dated a day earlier, sold through local stores, and carries none of the Japanese preorder risk below.

Which of the pre-announcement dates were right?

Before Bandai published, we logged every date being quoted and who was quoting it.

SourceDate it stated (Sep 24)Result
Yahoo! Shopping, サンアンドスプラウト発売予定日 2026/11/21✅ Right
Rakuten marketplace sellers (several)November 21, 2026✅ Right
メルカード秋葉原 (Akihabara card shop)“2026.11発売”, month only✅ Right, and claimed no more than it knew
Amazon.co.jp, 24-pack boxno day; cancellation closes Nov 1No date claimed
攻略大百科 (aggregator blog)November 22, 2026 “(土)”❌ Wrong
TOY-GET (affiliate blog)November 28, 2026❌ Wrong

The two wrong answers failed in ways you could have spotted in advance.

The November 22 claim was written as 2026年11月22日(土), which asserts a Saturday. November 22, 2026 is a Sunday. Bandai ships Japanese ONE PIECE boosters on Saturdays (OP-17 was Saturday, August 22; OP-18 is Saturday, November 21), so a date whose own day-of-week label contradicts the calendar was a placeholder, not a leak.

The November 28 claim came with a full spec sheet: 131+4 types, 10 special cards, 1 treasure rare, 6 leader cards and so on down to 4 DON!! cards. Every figure matched the OP-17 product page line for line, and the same blog admitted in its opening paragraph that the set’s details were unknown. Bandai’s real count for OP-18 is 127+1, so that sheet was OP-17’s with a new name on it.

The pattern worth remembering for the next set: a date a shop is taking money against beats a date on a blog, and a shop that publishes only the month is being honest about what it knows.

What a Japanese preorder actually commits you to

A confirmed date fixes one problem. It does not change the terms on the listings, and those are on the listings themselves rather than buried in a policy page.

The Yahoo! Shopping seller quoting November 21 states on its own product page that the item is a 予約商品 (preorder), that the release date may change at the manufacturer’s discretion, and that if the date changes the store will not contact you. It ships within 10 business days of the release date. Its price tracks other sites and is whatever it happens to be at the moment you order, explicitly including above list price. And it accepts no cancellation for customer reasons.

Amazon.co.jp is running the box as an invitation-request sale (招待販売): you request an invite, and if you are selected you get an email with a limited-time link to order. Its listing states that the preorder deposit is taken immediately at order time for certain sellers, by credit or debit card only, and that cancellation is no longer possible from November 1, 2026, twenty days before release. If Bandai delays the set, Amazon says it will email you a new date and move the cancellation deadline with it.

⚠️ A real date is not a refund right

Neither of the two listings we read gives you a way out once its window closes. Our guide to 予約 and 取り寄せ covers the proxy side: Buyee's published 30-day non-arrival refund names preorder items as an exclusion, so a proxy holding an OP-18 preorder is not covering you if the shop fails to deliver.

🗼 What we can do about this

Every Japanese OP-18 listing looks the same from outside Japan, and on September 24 the gap between them was ¥5,782 and ¥39,800 for the same box. What the desk does about it, concretely: we check the live Japanese listings for the set you name (Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions, Amazon.co.jp, shop stock pages), read the seller's own preorder and cancellation wording in Japanese, and send back a free report with the listings we would pick, the yen price, condition notes, and an all-in estimate including proxy fees and shipping to your country. The preorder prices are still the warning

On September 24, Rakuten marketplace sellers were taking OP-18 box preorders at ¥19,760, ¥22,000, ¥35,000, ¥37,800 and ¥39,800, against Amazon.co.jp’s ¥5,782 and a ¥5,760 list price. The Yahoo! Shopping listing we read was 5 loose packs for ¥2,950, or ¥590 a pack. None of those sellers holds stock, because no stock exists until November 21.

Our OP-17 Japanese versus English comparison works through whether importing Japanese sealed product pays off once freight is in the number: the per-card saving only survives an international parcel past roughly 46 packs. A markup of three to seven times does not survive it at any quantity.

What Bandai has confirmed about The Dominance of God’s contents

The August 23 announcement is still the only official word on the contents. It states that one of the set’s themes is the Holy Knights (神の騎士団, sometimes rendered God’s Knights), that Franky appears as a leader card for the first time with a parallel illustration version, and that the super parallel is Nico Robin. It introduces Saint Shamrock (シャムロック聖) and Gunko (軍子宮) to the game, and it closes with special illustrations of Saint Shamrock and Loki (ロキ) drawn by Yoshitaka Amano (天野喜孝). The set is billed as part of the game’s continuing fourth-anniversary run.

The product pages add 127+1 types but no rarity breakdown yet. The OP-17 page carries one down to the DON!! cards, so expect OP-18’s closer to release; until then, nobody can tell you how many secret rares or alternate arts are in the set.

So what should an overseas collector do now?

The date question is closed in both languages, so the decision is now about which edition you want, then price and terms. A Japanese listing near ¥5,760 a box with a cancellation window you can live with is a reasonable preorder. A listing at three times list is a bet that the set will be scarce, placed with a seller who has already told you it will not refund you.

✅ Before you put money on any Japanese OP-18 listing

  • Decide whether you want Japanese cards at all. The English edition, The Dominance of God, is due November 20 at $4.99 a pack.
  • Compare the asking price against ¥5,760, which is 24 packs at Bandai's published ¥240.
  • Check the listing says 2026年11月21日 or 11/21. A shop still showing November 22 or 28 has not updated its page.
  • Find the cancellation clause before you pay, not after. Amazon.co.jp's closes on November 1.
  • If you are buying through a proxy, remember preorder items are outside Buyee's non-arrival refund.

Our release calendar carries OP-18 alongside the other Japanese releases coming up. If you want to understand what you would actually be opening, the pull rates and box guarantees for Japanese ONE PIECE boxes are set by structure rather than by hype, and they have not changed for OP-18 as far as anyone can currently prove.

Frequently asked questions

When does OP-18 come out?

Saturday, November 21, 2026 in Japan. Bandai's Japanese OP-18 product page states 発売日 2026年11月21日(土), alongside the price (¥240) and card count (127+1 types). It went up between September 24 and 26, 2026, and showed the same date when we rechecked on October 7.

What is the English name of OP-18?

The Dominance of God. Bandai's English site lists the set as BOOSTER PACK -THE DOMINANCE OF GOD- [OP-18], and the Asia-English site uses the same name. Our original coverage used God's Rule, which was our own literal translation of 神の支配, not Bandai's name.

Is OP-18 releasing in English at the same time as Japan?

Within a day of it. As of October 7, 2026, Bandai's English site lists November 20, 2026, the Japanese site lists November 21, 2026, and the Asia-English site lists November 21, 2026. All three give 127+1 types; none has published a card list yet.

How much does an OP-18 pack or box cost?

In Japan, Bandai's suggested retail price is ¥240 per pack including tax, for 6 cards, so a 24-pack box works out to ¥5,760. Amazon.co.jp's invitation-request listing for the box is ¥5,782. The English edition's MSRP is USD $4.99 per pack. The Asia-English page lists no price.

Can I preorder OP-18 from overseas?

Yes, through a proxy service or a Japan-facing marketplace. Check the terms first: Amazon.co.jp closes cancellation on November 1, 2026, the Yahoo! Shopping seller we read accepts no customer-initiated cancellation, and Buyee's 30-day non-arrival refund excludes preorder items.

What has Bandai confirmed about The Dominance of God's contents?

The August 23, 2026 announcement names the Holy Knights (神の騎士団) as a theme, Franky's first leader card, a Nico Robin super parallel, and Yoshitaka Amano (天野喜孝) illustrations of Saint Shamrock and Loki. The product pages add 127+1 types (OP-17 had 131+4). No rarity breakdown is out yet.
