Aura Seeker (Hadou Seeker) Release Date: What's Confirmed in Japan

You searched for the Aura Seeker release date, found November 27 on half a dozen sites, and want to know whether to plan around it. There is no official release date. As of October 4, 2026, Pokémon Card Game Japan has announced no set called Aura Seeker (ハドウシーカー): no product page, no news post, no price, no box size. What exists is a trademark, a card with an Ability of that name, and a date that started with one fan-site report.

That distinction is worth more than it sounds, because it changes what you should do with your money this quarter.

When is Aura Seeker released in Japan, and how many packs are in a box?

Neither has been announced: as of October 4, 2026, pokemon-card.com lists no Aura Seeker product, so there is no official date and no official box size. The November 27 date comes from a PokéBeach report of May 25, 2026, not from Pokémon.

Here is exactly what we checked on October 4, and what each check returned:

An announced Japanese set is not subtle. It gets an official product page carrying the release date, the yen MSRP and the pack contents, usually alongside a post in the news feed. Aura Seeker has none of those.

On box size, we won’t guess. Pokémon prints the configuration on the product page, and it varies by product type. These are the official numbers for recent sets, as a reference for what the announcement will look like:

Where the name actually came from

In early March 2026, trademark watchers found a filing for ハドウシーカー (Hadou Seeker) by Nintendo, Creatures and Game Freak, the three companies that jointly hold Pokémon TCG marks, under the same product classifications historically used for set names. PokéBeach reported it on March 9 and Japanese outlets followed on March 10.

The name-reading is reasonable: hadou (波導) is the term the anime uses for Lucario’s aura, and we are inside the Mega Evolution block. Then on August 31, 2026, Pokémon’s official card game channel showed Mega Lucario Z ex, Riolu and Sigilyph ex, and the Ability on Mega Lucario Z ex is named ハドウシーカー. That is the first time the name has appeared on an official card, which is why both 攻略大百科 and PokéBeach tie those cards to the trademarked set.

Notice what the reveal did not include: a product name, a date, a price or a box size. PokéBeach’s own write-up of it says the set has not been officially revealed. PokéBeach’s March report also flagged that trademarks have lately surfaced out of order, sometimes a year ahead, so timing can’t be read off a filing.

So where did “November 27” come from?

It started with PokéBeach, which reported on May 25, 2026 that Aura Seeker would release in Japan on Friday, November 27. The report did not link an official Pokémon page, and none exists yet. From there the date was picked up by aggregator sites, prediction posts, store blogs and retail preorder pages until it started to look like a fact through repetition.

The November date may well turn out to be right: Japan often releases a set in late November, and fan-site schedule reports are sometimes based on real retail calendars. That still doesn’t make it something to commit money to today.

What is actually confirmed for Japan right now

If a rumor passes points one and two, it isn’t a rumor anymore. If it can’t, no number of aggregator sites repeating it changes that.

What this means for the English set

The English-language press calls it Aura Seeker while Japanese sites use ハドウシーカー. PokéBeach reports that English versions of the revealed cards carry a set symbol reading “FLO,” but no English set name, date or product has been announced. An English set can’t be scheduled off a Japanese release that hasn’t been announced, so anything you see about an early-2027 English window is inference stacked on inference.
