30th CELEBRATION FUTURISTIC BOX: ¥27,500 Price, Worth, Contents, Size

Three of Japan’s four 30th CELEBRATION products go to ordinary Japanese shelves. This one has no shelf. The 30th CELEBRATION FUTURISTIC BOX is ¥27,500 tax included, it came out in Japan on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, and the only sales channel The Pokémon Company has announced for it is still Pokémon Center Online, which sold it by lottery and ships inside Japan only. Both draws are over, so from outside Japan this is a secondary-market product. English-speaking buyers often call it the “30th Anniversary FUTURISTIC BOX”; the Japanese product name is 30th CELEBRATION FUTURISTIC BOX, after the Japanese 30th CELEBRATION set it belongs to.

Can I buy the 30th CELEBRATION FUTURISTIC BOX from overseas?

Not directly, and not from any announced channel. The official product page carries a line the other three 30th products do not: 「こちらの商品は、ポケモンセンターオンラインのみでのお取り扱いとなります。」. This product is handled by Pokémon Center Online only, which delivers to addresses inside Japan and states the order right cannot be transferred. It is also a Japanese-text product: the two promos are Japanese cards, and it is not in Pokémon.com’s announced 30th Celebration lineup. Every route that remains runs through the Japanese secondary market and somebody standing here.

First, what is in the box. This is a supply set with two cards in it, not a card product.

Two cards. Ten supply items. The design is by graphic artist YOSHIROTTEN, and every piece carries the same iridescent sphere artwork, which is why it is sold as a set rather than as parts.

How much is the 30th CELEBRATION FUTURISTIC BOX worth now?

About ¥60,000 on Yahoo! Auctions in early October 2026, a little over twice the ¥27,500 retail price. In 73 sampled sales of a single unopened box that ended October 2 to 6, the median was ¥59,999 and the middle half sold between ¥59,550 and ¥60,000.

How we got these: on October 6, 2026 we read Yahoo! Auctions’ closed-listing search for “FUTURISTIC BOX” (7,025 ended listings at the time), every fifth results page, for 1,525 listings from September 16 to October 6. We kept new-condition listings naming the box and dropped supplies-only lots, single promos, empty boxes, delivery slips, multi-box lots and bundles with other products. Four more sat far outside ¥30,000–¥150,000 (three under ¥10,000, one at ¥438,050) and are excluded. Most were fixed-price sales, not bidding wars.

The release-week spike has settled near ¥60,000, and that is a Japanese price. Add ¥10,300 of EMS at minimum for the 2,700g box (see the freight section), a proxy fee and your own duty or VAT, and a U.S. buyer is past ¥70,000. These are sold prices on dated listings, not a forecast.

What ¥27,500 actually buys

Against the rest of the anniversary lineup, the retail price is an outlier by a factor that is hard to argue with.

That is 76 packs’ worth of money. What separates it is not card content (it has the fewest cards on the list) but accessories made of metal, rubber and acrylic instead of cardboard. Twelve zinc-alloy damage dice and two zinc-alloy markers are why the box weighs what it weighs, and why the shipping section below is the most expensive part of this article.

The two FUR Pikachu ex: 131/M-P and 132/M-P

We read the printed numbers off both official card images: 131/M-P and 132/M-P, both marked PROMO, both credited to Illus. YOSHIROTTEN, the artist behind the FUR Mew ex and Mewtwo ex in the 30th CELEBRATION expansion pack.

Both are Basic Lightning Pokémon at 190 HP that finish with a 200-damage attack for two Lightning and one Colorless. The split is in the first attack, a day-and-night pairing:

• 131/M-P, the bright card, opens with ピカピカパレード (Pika Pika Parade) for one Colorless: bench as many Basic Pokémon from your deck as you like. Its 10まんボルト (Thunderbolt) does 200 and discards all attached Energy.
• 132/M-P, the dark card, opens with ビリビリフィーバー for one Lightning: attach as many Basic Energy from your hand as you like. Its かみなり (Thunder) does 200 with 30 recoil.

If the cards are the only part you want, that changes your plan: two promos travel in an envelope rather than a 3kg box. They are not cheap, though. In the same Yahoo! Auctions sample, the pair sold for ¥50,999 and ¥55,500 on October 5 and 6, and single 132/M-P cards for ¥21,500 and ¥24,000.

The lottery, and why it was never your window

Pokémon Center Online ran the FUTURISTIC BOX through the same two-lane draw as the rest of the anniversary products, and every date was published in advance.

That was the first draw. The second draw took entries September 11 to 16, published results September 30 from 17:00 JST, and gave winners until 16:59 JST on October 6, 2026 to order and pay. The detail that matters for supply is on the Pokémon Center Online listing itself: those boxes are scheduled to ship 「2027年3月13日（土）～3月31日（水）」, March 13 to 31, 2027. So the second wave does not reach Japanese hands, or resale listings, until spring 2027. It ran on the same two Japan-only lanes, so it was never open to you either. Whether a third draw follows is not published.

The two lanes are 「プレイヤーズクラブ：本人認証済み枠」 (My Number–verified) and 「プレイヤーズクラブ：本人未認証枠」 (unverified, phone-number checked). We mapped the identity layer in Pokémon Players Club My Number verification: a My Number Card is issued off a Japanese resident record, so the verified lane is not a difficulty for overseas collectors, it is a category they are not in. The freight math: 2,700g is published, and it changes everything

Here is the part that separates this product from its siblings. For the Premium Deck Set and the Card Sets, no weight is published anywhere and we said so. For the FUTURISTIC BOX, Pokémon Center Online publishes it: 2,700g. The listed size has changed during the sale cycle: on October 6, 2026 the listing reads 34 × 21 × 11 cm, where we had earlier recorded 18.5 × 7.8 × 25.8 cm from the same site. EMS charges by weight, so the table below holds either way.

2,700g is already past every EMS bracket up to 2.5kg before a carton, padding or an invoice sleeve is added. The lightest row this box can use is “up to 3kg”, and sensible export packing puts it in the 3.5kg row (Japan Post rates, rechecked October 6, 2026).

So a U.S. buyer paying the early-October median lands at roughly ¥60,000 plus ¥10,300 before any proxy fee, duty or VAT. Consolidation barely helps here: adding anything to a parcel already near the top of a bracket pushes it into the next one. This is one of the few Japanese products where shipping it alone is close to optimal.

What is not published

The gaps people fill in with guesses:

• How many exist. No print run, no allocation split between the two lanes, no size for either draw.
• Whether Pokémon Center stores will get it, and when. Only the word 可能性 (possibility), unchanged as of October 6, 2026.
• Any international release. The word FUTURISTIC still appears zero times in the Pokémon.com 30th Celebration showcase, rechecked October 6, 2026. That is absence from an announced lineup, not a Japan-exclusivity statement.
• Whether the promos appear anywhere else. 131/M-P and 132/M-P are listed only as contents of this box.
• Whether a third draw happens. Nothing published promises one.

Everything about this product is built to be hard to get: one channel, a lottery, one address country, and a 2,700g box at the end of it. If you want a YOSHIROTTEN Pikachu ex, you are chasing two cards that already trade on their own. If you want the metal dice and the display frame, you are chasing the box itself: about ¥60,000 on the Japanese market in early October 2026, plus at least ¥10,300 of airmail before any service fee or duty.
