30th CELEBRATION Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon: What's Inside

Japan’s two-player Pokémon anniversary box is out, and the official page publishes both 60-card lists card by card, so you can decide whether you want it before you pay anyone to ship it. The 30th CELEBRATION Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon (30th CELEBRATION プレミアムデッキセット エーフィ・ブラッキー) is ¥6,200 including tax, released in Japan on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, and contains two complete, ready-to-play 60-card decks (one built on Espeon ex, one on Umbreon ex), plus the coins, counters, playmat and tin deck case to play a game the moment you open it.

What’s in the 30th CELEBRATION Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon, and what does it cost?

¥6,200 tax included for 120 cards in two finished decks, on Japanese shelves since September 16, 2026. The official product page lists the box contents line by line, and none of it is random. This is a constructed-deck product, not a booster.

The deck case is worth flagging: the page specifies a 缶製 (kansei, tin) slide-open double deck case that carries both decks. The ¥1,800 MEGA Starter Set ex decks don’t include a case at all.

Is the “30th Anniversary” set the same thing as 30th CELEBRATION?

Yes. The anniversary is the occasion and 30th CELEBRATION is the name printed on the product: the official Japanese hub for the campaign is the Pokémon Card Game 30th anniversary special site (ポケモンカードゲーム30周年特別サイト), and the set it published there, 30th CELEBRATION (set code M6a), went on sale in Japan on September 16, 2026. There is no separate anniversary set hiding behind the other name. If you have been searching for a 30th anniversary Umbreon deck or an Espeon anniversary box, the ¥6,200 two-deck box on this page is the product you are looking at. Its Japanese name carries no word for “anniversary” at all, which is why so few English pages connect the two.

The shared branding does hide one thing that costs money if you get it wrong. The English 30th Celebration Battle Deck—Espeon ex & Umbreon ex dated October 30, 2026 is a different product, not a translated version of this one: it is one deck per box, Espeon ex or Umbreon ex, without the tin double deck case, six weeks after the Japanese release. Where it sits in the rest of the 30th CELEBRATION lineup

Four Japanese products carry the 30th CELEBRATION name, and they don’t all land on the same day. Suggested retail, tax included, from the official 30th anniversary site.

The booster went out worldwide on the same day, a first covered in Pokémon’s first worldwide TCG release. The Premium Deck Set is the opposite case, which is the whole reason this article exists. The Japanese schedule sits on our JP release calendar.

What’s actually in the two decks

The official page publishes both lists card by card, and read side by side they are near-mirror images. Each deck is built to exactly the same skeleton: 21 Pokémon, 21 Trainers, 18 Energy.

They also share 19 of their 21 Trainer cards: two ハイパーボール (Ultra Ball), two ポケパッド, two ポケモンいれかえ (Switch), two ポケモンキャッチャー (Pokémon Catcher), two アイリスの闘志, one ウエートレス, one ジャッジマン (Judge), three リーリエの決心, and four copies of the Supporter ガイ (Gai). They diverge on two cards each: the Espeon deck adds きずぐすり (Potion) and タケシのスカウト, the Umbreon deck クラッシュハンマー (Crushing Hammer) and ボスの指令 (Boss’s Orders).

The symmetry holds on the attacks. Espeon ex hits with 「サンシャインビート」 (Sunshine Beat) for two Energy, dealing 30 damage times the number of your own Pokémon in play. Umbreon ex answers with 「ルナティッククロー」 (Lunatic Claw), also two Energy, for 100 damage plus 140 more if the opponent’s Active Pokémon already has damage counters on it. Board width against finisher.

One detail for anyone chasing the full arts: the set code is MF and the base count is 040, but the full-art Espeon ex is numbered 043/040 and the full-art Umbreon ex 044/040, sitting past the numbered set the way secret cards do. With the full-art Victini in the Espeon deck and the full-art Zeraora in the Umbreon deck, that is four full arts, one pair per side.

Two decks in one box: the thing a ¥1,800 starter deck can’t do

The official page for the ¥1,800 MEGA Starter Set ex decks states outright that a match requires two decks, so one box is one player’s worth of equipment. This page says the reverse: with two 60-card decks plus coins, counters and playmat included, 「すぐに対戦を始めることができる」, you can start a game right away.

At ¥6,200 that is ¥3,100 per deck against ¥1,800 for a single starter box. The extra ~¥1,300 per deck buys the tin double deck case, the second coin, the anniversary playmat and four full-art cards a ¥1,800 box does not have.

Is there an English version? What the international lineup actually says

The Pokémon TCG 30th Celebration product showcase on Pokémon.com lists the announced international lineup in full, from Elite Trainer Boxes to the Ultra-Premium Collection, running September 16 to November 6, 2026. The Premium Deck Set Espeon & Umbreon is not among them. Absence from an announced lineup is not a declaration of Japan exclusivity, though: no such statement from The Pokémon Company exists that we could find, so the accurate phrasing is that this product is not listed in the announced international lineup.

What it does contain is a product with confusingly similar branding:

If you want the two-deck Japanese box with the tin case, waiting for the English release does not get you there.

Can you still get one through the Pokémon Center Online lottery?

No. Both official lottery rounds for this product have closed, and the one route left is ordinary Japanese retail. Checked again on September 8, 2026, here is where each round ended up.

And winning would not have been the fast route. Round-two winners are shipped between November 1 and 15, about seven weeks after the product hit ordinary Japanese shelves on September 16. The lottery bought you the ¥6,200 list price with no domestic postage, not early access.

None of it was reachable from abroad regardless. Pokémon Center Online delivers only to addresses inside Japan, makes the right to order a won item non-transferable to a third party, and gates its priority lane behind My Number Card verification, which is issued off a Japanese resident record. That leaves ordinary Japanese retail from September 16 onward at the ¥6,200 shelf price. It is the route that works from abroad, because the barrier there is logistics rather than identity. We checked eight Japanese channels for release day in 30th CELEBRATION from Japan: 8 routes checked.

What it costs to land in your country

The product is ¥6,200. The parcel is the other number, and it is the one nobody can quote you exactly: the official page publishes neither the box weight nor its dimensions, so treat any weight claim, ours included, as an assumption. What is safe to say is that a tin deck case, 120 cards, a full-size paper playmat, two coins and two counter sheets is not a sub-500g parcel once it is boxed for export, and Japan Post’s EMS table has no bracket below 500g anyway. Budget from the 1kg row: ¥5,300 to the U.S., ¥4,400 to Europe, then add your country’s duty or VAT on declared value plus freight. Thresholds are in our import tax and customs breakdown. Both lottery windows have shut, and neither was ever yours. The shelf price is, because this is a general-retail product with a published price rather than a Pokémon Center exclusive. So the decision is narrower than it seems: do you want two Japanese decks and a tin case, or four full-art cards? Those are very different orders, and only one of them needs a ¥6,200 box.
