Published Oct 8, 2026 8 min read

The Rundown

  • The MUR Mega Greninja ex (120/083) lists at ¥59,800 at yuyu-tei on October 8, 2026, unchanged since September 17. The SAR print (114/083) is ¥19,800, down from ¥22,800.
  • The shop's buyback on the MUR is ¥42,000, or 70% of its own ask, and has not moved in three weeks. Its stock went from 3 copies to 1.
  • Nothing else in Ninja Spinner is above ¥4,000. Third place is the SAR Cinccino ex (117/083) at ¥3,480, and 112 of the 120 cards are ¥500 or less.
  • One of every card cost ¥110,730 on September 17 and ¥104,750 on October 7. The four Mega Greninja ex prints are 77% of that total.
  • Packs are the official ¥180 for 5 cards, so the MUR's ask equals 332 packs and the SAR's equals 110.

Ninja Spinner (ニンジャスピナー) has been on Japanese shelves since March 13, 2026, long enough that its prices have stopped jumping around. If you are trying to work out what its chase cards cost in yen, the answer is ¥59,800 for the MUR Mega Greninja ex at yuyu-tei (遊々亭) on October 8, 2026, ¥19,800 for the SAR print, and under ¥4,000 for every other card in the set. Here are those numbers, how they moved across the 21 days we have sampled, and what the shop’s buyback says about each.

How much are Ninja Spinner cards in Japan?

Packs are ¥180 for 5 cards. Singles at yuyu-tei run from ¥30 to ¥59,800, the median card is ¥80, and 112 of the 120 cards are ¥500 or less. Almost all of the money sits in Mega Greninja ex.

The table uses our daily snapshot of yuyu-tei’s posted prices from September 17 to October 7, 2026: the 販売 (hanbai) sell price and the 買取 (kaitori) buyback price from the shop’s matching pages. An ask is a shop listing, not a completed sale. We rechecked both live pages on October 8 and the eight cards below matched the October 7 snapshot exactly. This is one large Tokyo shop; Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions and other stores keep their own numbers.

Two SAR trainers appear in Japanese because we could not confirm their official English card names: AZの安らぎ is an AZ card and ホミカの演奏 a Roxie card. Below the SARs, most SR and AR cards sit between ¥320 and ¥500. If MUR, SAR and AR are new terms, start with Japanese rarities explained.

Has the Mega Greninja ex MUR moved since September?

No. The ask on 120/083 was ¥59,800 and the buyback ¥42,000 on every one of the 21 days. What changed is the shelf: yuyu-tei had 3 copies on September 17 and 1 on October 8.

A flat line is unusual next to the rest of the set. Across all 120 cards, 21 asks fell over the period, 6 rose, and the rest held. The falls cluster on one day: the SAR Mega Greninja ex, the SR Mega Greninja ex, the SAR Cinccino ex, the SAR Mega Dragalge ex and both SAR trainers were all repriced on September 22. The MUR was left alone.

The Ninja Spinner spread

  • SR Mega Greninja ex 098/083 buys back ¥400 (31%)asks ¥1,280

Bars show the ratio, not the amount. The shop pays the most, relative to its own ask, for the two cards at either end of the price range.

What does the buyback price tell you?

It is the price a professional buyer commits its own money to, so it is the nearest thing to a floor a public page gives you. On the MUR that floor is 70% of the ask, which is high.

For comparison, the same shop pays 34% of its ask on the Abyss Eye MUR (see our Abyss Eye price series). The Ninja Spinner SAR Mega Greninja ex sits at 51%. Its buyback was not static either: it rose from ¥10,000 to ¥14,000 on September 30 and went back to ¥10,000 the next day. The SAR Cinccino ex buyback dropped from ¥2,800 to ¥1,800 by September 22, then recovered to ¥2,400 on September 28.

None of this says where a price goes next, and we are not suggesting anyone buy a card to resell it. What it does tell a collector is how much room a seller has. A ¥59,800 ask with a ¥42,000 buyback leaves a narrower gap than a ¥19,800 ask with a ¥10,000 buyback, so expect less give on the MUR. The general method for reading these two pages on any card is in how to check what a Japanese card is worth.

⚠️ Four cards share the name Mega Greninja ex

The official card search returns four Ninja Spinner cards called メガゲッコウガex: the RR 022/083 at ¥220, the SR 098/083 at ¥1,280, the SAR 114/083 at ¥19,800 and the MUR 120/083 at ¥59,800 (yuyu-tei asks, October 8, 2026). A listing titled "Mega Greninja ex Ninja Spinner" can be any of them, and the price gap between the cheapest and the most expensive is more than ¥59,000. Read the collector number in the bottom corner before you pay, and ask for a close-up if it isn't visible.

Should you buy singles or open packs?

For any one named card, singles. Thirty packs at the official ¥180 cost ¥5,400, which is about a quarter of the SAR Mega Greninja ex’s ask and a tenth of the MUR’s. The official page does not publish pull rates, so we cannot tell you how many packs a given hit takes on average.

The arithmetic is simple. The MUR’s ask equals 332 packs at list price, and the SAR’s equals 110. The median single, at ¥80, costs less than half a pack. If what you want is the experience of opening Ninja Spinner, packs make sense; if what you want is the card, the singles list is the shorter route. The official product page states three things and no more: ¥180 including tax, 5 cards per pack, on sale Friday, March 13, 2026. It does not give a box size, and we are not quoting one as official.

💡 Where the money is

The four Mega Greninja ex prints add up to ¥81,100 of the set's ¥104,750 total. All six SARs together come to ¥28,200 at today's asks, less than half of the MUR alone.

How do you buy a Ninja Spinner single from Japan?

Through a proxy service that buys from the Japanese shop or marketplace on your behalf and ships to you. On a ¥59,800 card the proxy fee and postage are a small slice of the total; on a ¥1,000 card they can be larger than the card.

That split decides the route. The MUR and the SAR Mega Greninja ex are expensive enough that the overhead barely moves the total. The SR and AR cards at ¥320 to ¥1,280 only make sense from Japan in a parcel with other things, because a single tracked card to the US costs ¥1,200 in Japan Post fees alone before any proxy service charge (rates in our shipping cost breakdown).

🗼 What we can do about this

In Ninja Spinner, the yen price decides the cost of one card and shipping decides the cost of everything else. Send the collector numbers you want, whether that is 120/083 alone or the SAR row, and we check the live Japanese listings (shop stock, Mercari, Yahoo! Auctions) and send back a free report: the listings we would pick, the yen price, condition notes, and an all-in estimate including proxy fees and shipping to your country. If a cheaper copy exists outside the big shops, the report shows it; if buying locally works out cheaper, it says so. You buy directly from the links. Our job is finding the best way to buy it from Japan and telling you.

How do you compare an overseas listing with the Japanese price?

Search by collector number, then add your fixed costs to the yen figure before you compare. “Mega Greninja ex” alone returns four different cards; “120/083” returns one.

✅ Before you pay for a Ninja Spinner chase card

  • Match the number: 120/083 is the MUR, 114/083 the SAR, 098/083 the SR.
  • Note the date on any yen price you use. Ours is October 8, 2026.
  • Compare raw with raw and graded with graded; they are different products.
  • Add proxy fees and shipping to the Japanese ask before comparing.
  • Check both sides of the card in the listing photos.

We looked for an announced English-language counterpart to Ninja Spinner on official pages and did not find one we could confirm, so this article does not name one.

We sample the same two yuyu-tei pages every day. The series began on September 17, 2026, six months after release, so it shows a set that has already settled. Read it as a description of where one shop has priced Ninja Spinner, not as a prediction.

Frequently asked questions

How much is a Ninja Spinner booster pack in Japan?

¥180 including tax for 5 cards, per the official Pokémon Card Game product page. The set went on sale in Japan on Friday, March 13, 2026. The official page does not state how many packs a box holds, so any box count you see comes from a retailer.

What is the most expensive card in Ninja Spinner?

The MUR Mega Greninja ex, 120/083. On October 8, 2026 yuyu-tei listed it at ¥59,800 with 1 copy in stock and a buyback of ¥42,000. The SAR Mega Greninja ex, 114/083, was second at ¥19,800.

How many cards are in Ninja Spinner?

yuyu-tei lists 120 cards for the set. The main numbering runs to 083, and the 37 cards above it (AR, SR, SAR and the single MUR) run up to 120/083, which the official card search shows as the MUR Mega Greninja ex.

Why does the Mega Greninja ex MUR hold a higher buyback ratio than other sets' chase cards?

We can only describe it, not explain it. yuyu-tei offers 70% of its ¥59,800 ask on 120/083, while the same shop offers 34% on Abyss Eye's MUR Mega Darkrai ex. A high ratio means the shop is willing to commit real money to more copies at that level; it is not a forecast of the price.
